Our fleet consists of Optimists, Laser Picos, Laser IIs, 420s, and 29ers. Our instructor team includes 11 enthusiastic and experienced Sail Canada qualified instructors.

For its Junior Members, the Lake of Bays Sailing Club offers fun, safe, and reasonably priced sailing lessons throughout July and August for ages 7-18, based on CANSail standards. Our Junior Sailors participate in races within the club, as well as in off-lake regattas at the more experienced levels. For a junior sailor to participate in the program, a sailing membership is no longer required.

For its Senior Members — families around Lake of Bays and throughout Muskoka — the Club offers a place to socialize and meet fellow cottagers and locals. It’s a fun, casual, friendly place to get together.

Beyond sailing, LBSC runs activity nights from 7 to 9 p.m. every Thursday night throughout the summer, and Family Awards Nights at the end of each month. Check out our events calendar for more information.

There are two classes of membership at Lake of Bays Sailing Club: Family Sailing Membership and Social Membership. Sailing lessons for ages 7-18 are available to members and non-members; members receive a discount.
